[Avid-L2] ProRes files offline after AMA

hi everyone
here's a stumper: i've got a batch of ProRes files transcoded from a Canon 5D. i didn't do the transcodes, just received a drive with a slew of them and a slew of DVCProHD files in a folder without the metadata files. not surprisingly, the DVCPro files won't AMA, but neither will the ProRes. they have no illegal characters in either the filename or foldername. in the meantime i'm using MPEG Streamclip to trancode them to DNxHD files and then into the Avid. any ideas?
thanks
bruce
