[Avid-L2] Mix and Match fun with 720P 59.94 in a 1080I 59.94 timeline What Fun

So I discovered that if you take a 720P 59.94 clip that was cut into a 30I offline and then decompose in the 59.94 1080 Online you get some interesting behavior.  I found if I took the decomposed 720P clip and drag it to the capture tool the time code in's and out's are doubled in value.  I figure this is do to the 60 frame time code being converted frame by frame to the 30 code.  But if I just typed in the time code values from the decomposed clip they are correct and I can then eye match the shots.  This is so much fun especially because it makes me feel like I'm already a final cut editor or at least I am feeling their pain thanks to mix and match.  A blessing and a curse.
