[Avid-L2] Can't pull EDL from AMA R3D clips

 

I've got a bunch of R3D clips brought into a mac-based MC v.5.0.3.5

When I try to pull an EDL (using the file16 template), EDL Manager
coughs up an error along the lines of 'Failed to get sequence'. No
hints in the console as to why.

If I transcode the R3Ds, EDL Manager is happy.

Is this normal? Is there a way around it that avoids the time penalty
of having to transcode just to get an EDL?
