Greetings, Listers.
I'm preparing to port my current MC Soft v3.5.9 install from it's
Windows XP-SP3 host to a Mac host. I'll be installing to a second hard
drive, as the new system already has FCP/AJA Kona3 running. I will
actually keep the XP system running, and port the dongle back & forth
should "legacy" I/O be required via my 1st-generation MOJO (I know, my
system is old).
I checked the MAC Avid Media Composer Version Matrix at:
http://avid. custkb.com/ avid/app/ selfservice/ search.jsp?
DocId=267087.
<http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=267087.>
The closest entry to my version is v3.5.4, which is linked to OSX 10.5.5
& 10.5.6 with QT 7.5.5) and 10.5.7 with QT 7.6.
Since the next higher entry is v4.0.2, I gather from this information I
must set-up my secondary hard drive to run no higher than OSX 10.5.7 &
QT 7.6. Is this correct, or may a successful attemt be made to v3.5.9
run under 10.6.6/QT X? Does anyone out there have experience with
running Media Composer v3.5.9 in environments higher than OSX 10.5.7 &
QT 7.6?
I plan to set-up the Avid hard drive environment within the next week or
so, and would like to take advantage of Snow Leopard & QT X, if
possible.
As always, anyone/everyone' s constructive feedback is greatly
appreciated.
Cheers!
