Could someone outline the current workflow for AVC-Intra 100 content from P2
cards. Load, transcode, edit, restore.
At one point there were issues with relinking back to original P2 based AVC
Intra material once clips were transcoded into DNXHD.
It is something we have only done once but will be doing a lot more of in the
future.
Since we have some legacy CPUs (xw8400) we think it is best to transcode into
1:1 10b or DNXHD 220X.
However we don't want to archive two sets of media and would want any future
work or revisions to be able to link back to the original P2 clips without
issue.
We probably will not be upgrading our DX hardware to the real-time AVC Intra
option.
Also. Since AVC Intra has a lot in common with H264, can I assume it has the
same performance profile in the Avid environment as clips from a 5D and etc?
