The AVC-Intra board is an encoder. It allows for baseband capture of
AVC-Intra, AVC Intra is a beefy codec that requires a lot of horsepower,
so an codec module is needed. This card is field upgradeable
(installable) and your existing Nitris DX can be upgraded for $2495. We
also have a new SKU of Nitris DX with AVC Intra available if you want to
purchase new. We've also done some decode work in 5.5 that allows for
better decoding capability on the highest end CPU's (Z800 and Mac Pro).
