Today I ordered a new Z800 for our Symphony Nitris DX suite - it's a Dual
6-core 2.66GHz setup, with FX3800 and 12GB RAM (per Avid spec).
This evening I heard from another post guy I know who is in the process of
replacing the same model with a Mac Pro after experiencing very sub-par
performance with the Z800.
Thus, waiting for my Z800 to make it's way from Singapore, I am now hoping I
haven't made a poor decision. Given Avid's strict testing and very small
number of 'approved' configurations I tend to assume his experience is
somehow a fluke, but I figured I'd email the list and seek reassurance :)
Is anyone running on the 12-core Z800 config? Any issues?
