[Avid-L2] Re: LTO access time?

 

So for a rough comparison at ~ 35 MBs (megabytes) per second for LTO access. Then FW at 800 Mbs (megabits) per second yields 100 MBs ( megabytes) per second. That would be better than 2 times faster. Esata at 3 Gbs (gigabits) per second yields 375MBs ( megabytes) per seconds. That would be ~ 10 time faster. These are theoretical rates for FW and Esata assuming the sata drives in the enclosures don't create any bottleneck. Does this math make sense?
