including titles.
Simply put the title on the timeline twice. For the first copy (the fill)
just remove the Title (or key) effect and you'll be left with a Straight
fill layer, then with the second copy you can open the effect editor,
promote the effect to 3D, then under 'Foreground' there wil be a 'Show
Alpha' option - that creates the alpha pass.
Definitely works for Title Tool titles, also for Marquee I believe.
The only thing to watch out for is the black/white levels of the alpha clip
- I believe it will show 16-235 levels, but the recipient may be expecting
"full swing" 0-255. Should be possible to make that happen by nesting in a
Colour Correction or Colour Effect.
