Be aware that some stuff (Android phones, for example) won't work on 5GHz 802.11n. If you want to be compatible with a majority of your clients' hardware, running in 2.4 GHz 802.11g is your safest bet.
I have a Cisco / Linksys WRT54G2 on our setup for just that type of "public / client" stuff -- fully segregated from the rest of the internal network for security -- but still using WPA2 and a password so it's not just hanging out wide open nekkid in the breeze.
I picked it up as a factory refurb at Microcenter for under $30.
