In 20 years Avid has provided under Clip menu "achieve to tape/restore from
tape", tee hee.

And Oliver, a trick I have used to save errant editors and Avid from writing
renders and media files to unwanted drives is - create a dummy text file
saved as "Avid Mediafiles" on the drive you want to protect and change the
file permissions to "read only". Haven't tried it lately though.
