I have tested the redcolor/redgamma combo - output from REDCine-X as
dpx, into AfterFX, out as 16-bit TIFF sequence, and into Avid. When
compared with an AMA version of the same RED clip in Avid, it is
perceptually very, very close. I see a very tiny bit of lightening,
very similiar to what I see if I transcode that AMA clip into 1:1 10-bit
RGB Avid media.
CC waveforms confirm a very slight lightening.

Have you found a combo that works better?
