[Avid-L2] USB Mic Recording on the Desktop

 

For a number of reasons, I am unable to record some temp VO directly into Avid's Capture tool. The reasons are unimportant. But I seem to recall that there is some (possibly free) app that can be used on, say, a laptop, to make recordings using a USB mic (in this case I have the Samson Q1U). Does anyone remember what this app might be? Or can anyone recommend something handy?
