I never tried it, but if you have enough RAM (12GB+) and a 12 core it should be possible. The only issue might be if there is some conflict using a Mac Kona card vs the Win Xena Card from AJA. I do not know if the DS will care, but worth a test, and it may save rebooting time. The VM software is pretty good given enough RAM.
Now being able to run MC5 on the MAC and DS in VM might be a stretch! But Final Cut studio especially Color & DS might be a good combination of systems running together.
