[Avid-L2] VC-1 vs WMV9?

I noticed on Sorenson Squeeze 4.5 I can choose WMV 9 as a video codec.  In Sorenson Squeeze 5.x I see VC-1 as the video codec choice for WMV not WMV 9 in the pull down.  From the web:
VC-1 is the informal name of the SMPTE 421M video
codec standard,....It is today a supported wide spread standard for HD DVDs, Blu-ray
Discs, Windows Media Video 9, and Microsoft's Silverlight framework.
So if I'm supposed to deliver a WMV 9 using Sorenson 5.x I assume I use the VC-1.  Is this correct?  Are there any gotchas or is this a different name for the same thing?
