That is exactly what I would expect. The BM card handles all the conversions so it is seamless to the end user.

the import is where you get in trouble because you have a file that is correct in the Avid and 601 broadcast world, and when you import it into FCP which works in the RGB computer world, you bypass the corrections that would be done by an external card like the BM or Kona.
