[Avid-L2] Re: ACE blog

One thing I perceive as a loss in FCP is the ability to place a transitional effect on an upper track. Like a lens flare that fill the frame at the cut point on the track below. My understanding is in FCP that would have to be two effects on V1 straddling the cut point, much like if you did in in Avid without putting the effect on an upper track. To me that is cumbersome but I assume in FCP you just get use to it. Perhaps someone can enlighten me if there is a way of applying FCP effects to upper tracks like in Avid.
