Re: [Avid-L2] ScriptSync

What he said! ScriptSync is awesome, and whenever I tell an FCP user about it, the idea really blows them away. I've seen all independent documentary offline work in my market flip over to FCP, despite the fact that only Avid has this tool, simply one of the best ideas for content editing ever.

I've been saying that since it came out. It's Avid's best exclusive feature with
nobody else even close.
Everytime I talk to someone who has used it for the first the response is just
like yours.
Avid marketing has never understood it's value to editors. Then again most
editors haven't either.
I wouldn't want to cut without it.

Over the past couple of days, I've been using ScriptSync for the first
time to marry up transcripts with hours and hours of talking-heads.

Gee-whizz... this changes everything! I keep turning to my Director and
saying just how amazed I am. It really comes into its own when you're
looking for an 'and', or an 'its', or other single words. Traditionally
that would've taken forever to search through the transcript, then find
the sound and realise that it's not quite right... then try to find
another instance... Sheesh.

Simply put, it's changed my life!
