Re: [Avid-L2] MACROS on Macs for MC & FCP ??

Last time I looked neither Avid nor FCP had AppleScript 'Dictionaries'
to speak of. Those dictionaries hold the set of commands etc. an
application understands. While there are AppleScript ways to script
the app's user interface, rather than the app's logic, they are
tedious and confusing.

I have, for years, used QuicKeys to create macros. Quickeys, too,
talks to the GUI, but in a much more convenient way. It also offers a
lot above just that, like repeat loop, variables, dialogs, etc. In my
opinion worth the money it costs to anyone who ever does repetitive
click and keystroke sequences. Last time I looked it was sold by a
company called Startly: http://www.startly.com/products/quickeys/mac/4/
