as i said before, i'm just passing on what the Avid tech said to me. i
too was a bit surprised that simply copying the files to a drive - per
panny's own instructions yada yada - is not sufficient. but the tech
was very clear about this. just copying doesn't guarantee that EVERY
BYTE has gotten across unscathed, only an app with checksum will do it.
for more info i'd ask Avid. and let me know what they say!!
