With AMA, you don't ingest anything (as Rupert said) - so what you're asking for is to see and smell the food AND to "poop it out". Our bodies don't work like that.
And anything that does gets ingested, certainly does not resemble it's original form on the other end, so it too gets re-wrapped.
Also, regarding your comment about AMA footage being just like any other, it absolutely is. Up until AMA, every bit of footage (whether imported or captured) had to be run through the re-wrap. AMA footage edits just like other footage and when you want to Consolidate, it behaves like all other footage.
What I think you're requesting would be akin to taking your source tapes and dubbing off only the portions used in your edit (sort of like a "Melt Reel") and then wanting to access the dubbed tape as a Source in the future. But the thing is that if you do that, then you won't be able to Batch Capture because the TC's won't line up with what clips were used in the Sequence.
