If you have two sources you need to marry for 3D, then you need MetaFuze. However, if you get a source that is already married, you just import it. For instance, one of our graphics artists created our logo floating in 3D space in After Effects. We imported the file and it worked on the JVC set.
You just have to make sure you have the right type as Avid supports an over/under where one eye is recorded as the top half of the frame and the other eye is the bottom half. A side by side where each half of the frame represents an eye. And finally the interleaved, or odd fields represent one eye and even fields represent the other.
And yes Tom, you are viewing half resolution in this world.
