[Avid-L2] Protools 7.4 and MC4 co-installation?

Hi,

I was just in the process of upgrading our Xpress Pro Studio setup to MC4 and Protools 8 when I got the call that the sound guys have been told that Protools 8 is very buggy at the moment, with lots of crashes and general unhappiness for those using it. I was therefore asked to keep Protools at version 7.4.

As far as I can see from the MC4 install notes, PT 7.4 is not supported for co-installation - only version 8 and above.

Does that mean that I definitely cannot have them both on the same machine (HP Xw8200)without resorting to dual boot etc?

Has anyone else heard of these problems with version 8 of Protools?
