[Avid-L2] MediaNet 5.1.3, Mac OS 10.6.2 & EAC 5.2

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have the combination of MediaNet 5.1.3, Mac OS 10.6.2 and EAC 5.2 working properly?

I'm seeing a couple of strange things on a few Mac OS 10.6.2 client systems. First is that the client software only shows DV-25s in the bandwidth allocation. The second is that workspaces mount OK, but are not available in Media Composer (4.0.5 through to 4.0.5.2) until the all drive console command is used. This behaviour is intermittent. The same client using the same Unity and computer login works one day, but not the next.

Mac OS 10.5.8 EAC systems work 100% OK, as do FAC 10.6.2/ client 5.2 and 10.5.8/ client 5.1.4.

Avid has checked the system over and confirmed the MediaNet is working properly at the server end, the issue is all the the client end. The client systems are all configured as required, including clean installs of the OS, firewall disabled.

I have tried reinstalling the EAC software after downloading a new installer, but I get the same behaviour.

The bandwidth limiter being stuck at DV-25s concerns me especially. This remains after reinstalling. Does anyone know where the prefs are hiding?

Thanks
Richard Kelly
