[Avid-L2] Joining PAL w/NTSC

I worked on a lengthy project last year in SD/NTSC. The second half
of the project was shot this year in Europe, HD/PAL.
First Seq I cut as SD/NTSC seq and the second part I cut as 1080/50i
Seq.
Client wants to marry the two sequences together for final piece.

What is the best way to do this and retain as much quality as
possible. I brought the 1080/50 sequence in the SD projects and used
the MODIFY option to change the format to 30NTSC but it does look a
bit soft. In some places, looks terrible.

Is there another option for me to bring these two sequences together?
