[Avid-L2] 3D monitors and finishing

Interesting to see posts on 3D finishing starting to appear. I'm currently finishing an introduction technology course for VET to help address the implications for production and the post process using typical broadcast post tools like DS, Media Composer and FCP. Initially at a very intro, broad level until the tools improve. I'd have to say with that tool set at the current level of 3D support it's an uphill job and the limitations of what can be achieved are understood from the outset.
On the monitor front I advice working on one eye for the grade using the appropriate grade one monitor and using a consumer monitor to deal with the 3D work. The best advice however suggests working on the 3D on a screen the size of the final delivery. The effect of the 3D is altered by the size of viewing screen.
Good luck to those at the bleading edge :-)
