but if you know what you are doing, it's pretty accurate.
You can reference most valid frame rate variations of the "boilerplate"
220Mb, 145Mb and 36Mb DNxHD CODECS. It does not calculate any 10bit
DNxHD resolutions, however.
Check the 1080i and 1080P options. Use the "More" page for detailed
combinations. They are very close to the published Avid specs for all
the valid frame rates I tried.
But AFAIK, 720P DNx datarates, (if you even use them) don't calculate
well at all in this version of the app. But then, Avids datarate table
for 720P rasters looks suspicious too.
Frank could cook one of these apps with his laptop during a lunch hour,
so I will be VERY disappointed if we don't get an Avid DataCalc App at NAB!
