that's the case.. DS does do 3D. maybe not as eloquently as other boxes, maybe better..i can guarantee you that you have seen work, in 3D, that was done with the DS. i know it's been going on for the better part of 2yrs already..
Avid Marketing... ugh boy. there's a sore spot. I've been gripping on the DS list since last year about that.. started to do something about it too.. And yeah, ulitimately it comes down to Avid. the people who can't figure out that they can do 3D in offline AS WELL as online, are probably the same ones who thought naming the new hardware for Composer, Nitris DX, was a good idea. I've already walked into a few session cause they thought they had a DS Nitris, not a Nitris DX. and clients have been pissed when they realized what they got for the $$$.. doesn't sit well... but i digress..
