One of the producers on my current project has shot some making-of type
stuff with a Sony HDR-TG7VE camcorder.
Specs say:
PAL, CCIR standards HDTV - 1080/50i
Video:
HD: MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 AVCHD format compatible
SD: MPEG-2 PS
Audio: Dobly Digital 2ch
Dolby Digital Stereo Creator
He shot in AHVHD 1080/50i mode.
He needs to have the clips from that camera on a computer, so he may
spot/log, or even edit.
Promised him I'd look into it, but have never ever seen any AVCHD file up
close and personal. Was hoping there would be some way to convert it into
something that can be screened and cut on Mac and/or PC.
Will the Panasonic AVCHD-P2 converter work on that stuff, or not at all?
Thanks in advance for any leads,
