[Avid-L2] Re: Q logic SanBox 5600 16 port fibre switch?

Just wanted to update this thread. Today I've been outputting with no stalls and three other stations are capturing uncompressed SD and no problems. The difference is one of the bays that was crashing a lot off and it's on it's second computer and still crashing. The editor thought his fibre line might have a problem. Bingo, at least from today's results. I've seen multiple systems with fibre where on bad connection/line bogs down the whole system. I think the bad connection of fibre requires a bunch of reasks for the data to be sent again and this takes down the available bandwidth across the network. Of course while typing this I just got my first stall of the day. Man I hate computers.

Sure seems like 2 SD 1:1 streams shouldn't choke the system but the Avid seems to get finicky when doing a digital cut while someone captures on another system on the SanMP. I know SanMP is not ideal but it seems to have been configured properly so I don't have a clue what if anything has changed to cause this problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
