[Avid-L2] Re: advice for system Symphony Nitris Classic

The 8400 is the highest you can go with Symphony Nitris Classic.

Use best approved Nvidia card that Avid supports for Classic Nitris.

Install Vista 64 Business. If you do a search in the Avid-L archives you'll find a great post on how to optimize the Vista install and the computer RAM.

Those are the two best things you can do to improve the efficiency of Symphony Nitris Classic. Unfortunately, that's all there will ever be as the newer computers have different slots that the Classic can't run on.
