[Avid-L2] Re: 4 channel audio QT export from Mac 3.5.4?

Well I seem to have added the tracks by using the add to movie and now there is a second audio track that I can enable and disable. I changed the audio 3 and 4 tracks to discrete 0 and 1. Not sure what that really does but now the new audio tracks are labeled as 2 discrete tracks in the inspector. I noticed there are all kinds of surround sound track assignment possiblilites for the tracks. What mechanism, hardware or software, would matrix the channels based on these assignments? I've never thought about how a QT would be surround sound encoded. Is this the mechanism you would use to set up a surround mix in QT?
