matter. (You'll want to make sure that you get the permissions fixed
on the Mac files on the PC, but other than that it should work fine,
and even THAT shouldn't matter if you just send the project via ftp
instead of on a CD or something. I send off-lines that I do on an
ancient Symphony Meridien to many different Avid systems, though I'm
not sure what software they're running to be honest. I've also re-
edited some pretty old shows from previous versions of software with
no problems.
The smartest thing is to do a test. If you want, send the sequence to
the post house in South America - or to anyone else with Composer 3.x
running on a PC, and see if it will open up and work.
I would guess that they're going to have to redigitize all of the
footage down in South America, since the Meridien footage probably
won't play nice with the MXF media.
I somehow doubt that the only Avids in all of South America are PC-
based...
