I attached a DS 10 and RP/IMS Broker via Fiber to a Terrablock and
installed the DS Workgroup controller on the RP. I mounted one
Terrablock partition with 'write' permissions on the RP and gave the DS
read only permissions to this partition. I was hoping that the RP will
pick up the video from the Terrablock via the fiber cable, but it picked
up the video from the DS via the Ethernet cable, which has a slower
bandwidth.
Has anyone successfully configured a DS workgroup with a Terrablock this
way? Please share how it has been done.
Eventually I removed the RP fiber from the Terrablock, and moved the DS
Workgroup controller to run on the DS. It takes a long time for the RP
(XW9300) to read the sequence from the DS (Z800 1GbitE), mount the
drives, process and deposit the clip back to the drive. It remount the
shared network drive every time which does not make any sense. I mapped
the shared network drives, but the RP still remounted it every time.
Windows Simple File Sharing is disabled on both computers.
Is there a way for the RP to avoid remounting the drive everytime?
Thanks,
Ofer Raveh, ACSR
