I don't really know. I wasn't aware Premiere Pro had that capbility. Soundbooth is an audio program
so maybe it's different. I know we got about 95% accuracy on the tests we did. But it was all from
one interview. I don't know yet how it would work with poorly recorded sound. Maybe it could be cleaned up
first in Soundbooth.

Hi Alan,
Is that the same workflow that Was stated had 'comical' results? Or is
Soundbooth's transcription different to what he was using?

Hi Wes,
I've been playing around with a slightly different workflow for a friend on
a low budget doc with lots of interviews and no money for transcripts. I've
only done small test so far but it is very encouraging.
First, load the clip into Avid. Export the audio as Wave or AIFF. Now if you
have CS4 open Soundbooth and import the file.(I'm a little hazy here because
I'm not in front of it now). Soundbooth has the ability to make a text
transcript out of the audio file.
Then save that and convert it to a ScriptSync compatible txt file and open
in SS in Avid.
It worked great. A little time intensive but all in all very usable. The
longest amount tested was about 10 minutes.
Now he's going home and will try it on the 100 hours of interviews he has.
He has no money, but plenty of time.
