Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Symphony Nitris DX OMF2 Audio export problem

Solution three:

Duplicate sequence to new bin.
Delete all unwanted tracks.
Consolidate sequence.
Move sequence to an other new empty bin.
Set bin display to: Show reference clips.
Select everything that is NOT the sequence and audio.
Unlink.
Select sequence and export OMF2.

I hope it works for you.

Ok, finally we've found what's causing the problem, but didn't found a
solution of it. Or at least a reasonable one.

This issue happens when there is a group, used in the timeline only.
Somehow SN consolidates and exports all clips in the group, not just
those used in the timeline. So if any of these unused group clips is
offline, it cannot be converted to OMF and in the bin it's masterclip
remains as PCM(MXF), and/or conversion during export doesn't convert
all clips in the group(!?!).

Solution one:
Transcoding audio before export. Not preferable because of the time it
might take.

Solution two: (if there is any)
Making SN export only clips, used in the timeline. I don't know if
there is any way to do that.

No problem when exporting to OMF1, but the audio guy's cannot open it.

Bas, I'd love the 4.0.3, at least for the Advanced Decompose, as this
might solve this issue, but we are in the middle of the season and I
wouldn't dare to change to a new major version right now. Also getting
this SN was hard enough;)
