BWF's can contain a flag that forces Avid to import at the speed that is set
in the file.
If that is the case, the options window will not show.
I have not worked with the tool that is on the mentioned site, but i can
remember other drag 'n drop tools.
If all fails, you can use a HEX editor to do it yourself. (It ain't that
hard.)

Yes. The files are NOT going through the necessary pulldown. The picture is
being slowed from 24 to 23.976, but the sound is not, because it is already
at 48kHz. When you record at 48048, it goes through a sample rate conversion
to 48, which slows the files and holds it in sync.
I haven't worked with these in Avid, so you should check to see if there's
an Avid way to induce the pulldown with BWAV. Maybe Job or Bouke can chime
in on this one. Also check 24p.com as Michael has some posts related to
double-system sound and BWAV files.
