[Avid-L2] Panasonic AJHD1200A question

I am digitizing off this deck and had a question. I have 5 tapes that
are shot 50i so the deck does not read the tape. I am not familiar
with the deck but according to the manual you need an optional card to
be able to change the menu settings and play this format. The guy who
loaned me the deck does not know if it has the card. The menu help in
the manual is a bit esoteric. For those who are familiar with this
deck, is there a quick way to see if I have the optional board and if
so, what is the menu setting to playback 501?
