Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Matching to non promoted Motion effect SNDX 3.5.4 on Mac OS 10.5.6?

Interesting - I must be ages since I tried to do this. Just for the record,
just now I created a sequence with classic motion effects on one Mac and
moved the bin with the sequence to another machine (no media). Match framea
and Bens's Ctrl+option+MF worked correctly on this sequence. I then
decomposed as you suggested and that broke it ("Try opening the bin that
contains this clip"). I then opened the bin with the original sequence (but
did not load it). I then got "Frame not within motion effect boundaries -
open Motion Effect or Original clip?' (this is MC 4.0) but I could then
match. I suppose the message is that if you have a decomposed sequence, have
the original sequence to hand.

I also went from MC 4.0 to Xpro 5.8 with the same results.
