Re: [Avid-L2] OT: Rugged Lav Mics

Well the most rugged mics I've ever used where EV-RE50( handheld dynamic mic you can drive nails with it) Sony ECM-77's. The weak link in any lav is where the mic cord terminates at the XLR connector. You can strain relief it or be prepared to do some microscopic soldering.

There are probably newer mics out there but the 77's I dragged around in news for 15 years without any problems other than the rare mic cord re-soldering.
