But Fast Scrub still makes waveforms unusable. Try moving a cheated dialog line into sync by watching waveforms. Select the clip in segment mode and nudge with the trim buttons. Every one-frame nudge can trigger a full redraw. The whole idea is that you can see the waveforms and line them up to resync the new line. If there's a redraw for every move, it becomes hopelessly slow and nearly pointless.
