[Avid-L2] Re: Matching to non promoted Motion effect SNDX 3.5.4 on Mac OS 10.5.6?

Guess it stopped working at some point and I stopped noticing. I guess the answer is to promote. Has anybody seen any downside to promoting motion effects? I ask because just two weeks ago I found that a time warp that ramped into a freeze behaved very differently when I changed the render between fluid motion, interpolated field and blended interpolated. Tuned out blended interpolated worked best. The freeze would actually hop a field or so after comming to a stop in interpolated field but not in blended interpolated. Kinda wierd, first time I'd seen that but it does mean I have to watch out for discrepancies when I override the offline render settings. Steve I thought I taught Margaret to use time warp now. I know I set a fine example of 0 fps every time she gives me a new chore around the house. ;-)

Terry can you confirm that the ctrl/alt matchframe still works on the pc side? I'm in all mac land now but I know we learned about this trick back on symphony meridian and as far as I know it still works on pc. Once I promote the motion effect I can match to the original source no problem so all the necessary metadata is still there in the sequence.
