[Avid-L2] Re: ATTO Celerity FC-41ES Fibre Card Issue on macs

Many thanks. It makes no difference if the switch is connected or not. We have alot of EX LANSHARES that did not have the switch.
Any other ideas?

In the last year, I have started to see a very strange thing happening and I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Since the arrival of 10.5, when I install a card there is 30% chance that the fibre connection will not be made and the LEDS will not light up. I can swop the cards around I can be sure the I will find one that works. There is no ryhme or reason that I can see as all the macs have the same installs and and are virtually all old 2.66ghz. When I take a particularly stubborn card to a PC it works fine. I have tried all the configs relevant to the ATTO config tool and the system profiler always sees the card. Does anyone else have this sort of rather frustrating problem?
