Bilingual Editor Needed

1080 Inc., San Antonio, offers the most extensive post production and
computer animation services in Central and South Texas. 1080 has an
extensive array of editing facilities which include Avid DS Nitris HD,
Symphony Nitris HD, Final Cut HD and Avid Media composers. We offer
extensive animation and visual effects and design services, including
Autodesk Inferno HD, 2D & 3D animation, compositing and effects supervision.
We offer complete duplication and digital delivery services as well as DVD
Authoring and duplication. Formats available D1, D2, DVCPro, Digi Beta, Beta
SP, 1" type C, Beta SX, Sony IMX, DVCPro HD, HD-Cam, D5 HD, HD SR, HDV and
consumer formats.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall Objective:
The Bilingual Commercial Broadcast Editor position must fulfill the
following requirements on a daily basis with the technical ability to
operate all areas of the Avid Media Composer/Symphony proficiently. Must be
friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
The responsibility of the Avid editor / designer is to satisfy all of the
post-production needs of our larger clients to the upmost capacity and
beyond. This includes producing a scope of work above a national level on a
day-to day basis and striving to always top what was accomplished days past.

General Duties:
Creative directorial from an editing standpoint. The ability to trim, shift
or suggest changes in copy or treatment of a spot to its best execution.
Must be highly creative in supervised and unsupervised edit sessions and
possess knowledge of the entire post production process from digitizing
through mastering.
Specific Duties:
•Creative editorial and design: Being able to make quick and sound decisions
for any body of work without the assistance of a producer / art director.
Essentially the ability to combine the editorial driven duties of those
positions into your own.
•Strong communication skills a must.
•Motion design knowledge a must.
•Type design knowledge a must.
•Sound editing. A strong music background is always a preference...since
timing is everything.
•MUST be solution driven.

Required Skills:
•Bachelor's degree in Motion Graphics/Editing, Advertising, or equivalent,
relevant experience. 5 + years experience as an editor
•Fluent in both Spanish and English – Spoken and Written.
•Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and prioritize as needed.
•Willingness to work flexible schedules and work under deadlines.
•Proficient in: AVID media composer, AVID Symphony
•Knowledge of: Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and
after effects.
•Able to collaborate on graphics work within the edited spots
