[Avid-L2] from my avid to the whole damn world

Just because I don't have enough stress in my life I've decide to take another run at creating files for DG FastChannel Dropbox upload directly from our Avids via something like Sorenson Squeeze or possibly Episode.

Presently we use a telestream hardware encoder with its DG Encode application but are going to have to get a software solution in place soon.

Anyone have any luck or guidance on the PC side?

The last time we attempted this we had problems with creating audio friendly to DG's very narrow dynamic range. We also could not solve the riddle of how to create the proper 720x512 image (very large "blanking area) on the PC.

Sorenson 5 has a preset for DG - NTSC. However one look at it tells me there must be some sort of additional adjustment necessary via a Sorenson "filter" to get the cropping right and the audio volume compression right.

Ideas?
