Yes, you need to populate the "reel name" in Resolve, which I usually make be the file name minus the file extension and/or also the image number for image sequences.

Then when you export your ALE file and import it into MC that "reel name" will populate as the Tape Name in MC. I've found it crucial to have that Tape Name / Reel Name association to then go back to camera masters in Resolve when you send and AAF back to Resolve.

It's been a while since I've figured that out, so I don't know if there is a fix for it, but maybe you can figure out a way to add the Tape Name to each clip in MC and then set up Resolve to generate the same Reel Name on it's end and it should be able to find it.
