Are you on a Mac? If so, yes it does. And AFAIK there is no 6.1, just 6.0.x but I think it does say 6.1. You may have trouble installing as the installer may check the MC version. I managed to upgrade a number of machines from 6.0.3 to 6.5 with the plugins intact. I'd copy them out first to be on the safe side if it is not too late.
