I was recently working with the Boris Chroma key, and wanted to use the matte choker. I could not get the two to function as in the documentation. I found a tutorial on U-Tube, but still could not get the behavior demonstrated.
After setting the Chroma Key, I added the Matte Choker effect to the clip. When I turn on Multi-filter Start in the Chroma Keyer, the background disappears and becomes black as expected. When I turn on Multi-filter End in the Matte Choker, the background should return and I should see the result of the two filters, instead, I still get the black background. Looking at the key signal in the Matte Choker, it is solid white.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
