Hi Folks
Hope someone can advise on this, my client was editing
happily this afternoon adjusting some titles in a 1080p25
project that was set to PAL 25p (to capture some SD footage).
The avid suddenly froze and a hardware error message
appeared.
Shutting down the z400 workstation running mc 6.0.3 and
aja io express, then restarting first the io express and then
pc did not seem to clear the error as the avid no longer displayed
the video input/output options in project settings
even though "avid media composer with kona io express"
was displayed at the top of the avid application.
Removing the aja contol panel and io plugin then reinstalling
the control panel first and then the io plugin did not clear the
error and the avid still could not use the io express.
The only way I could get the avid to use the io express was to
completely uninstall the avid application along with the aja
software and reinstall everything from scratch.
I can find no evidence in the windows event viewer of a hardware
error around the time of the crash, I know the titles the editor
was working on at the time of the crash were probably sd not hd
unlike the majority of the media in the project which is not good
but this shouldn't crash mc6.0.3 should it? is there a bug in 6.0.3
that could cause this?.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Here is the system specs
win7 64bit pro; mc 6.0.3; correct nvidia driver properly
configured for quadro 2000; aja io express with 10.3.1
drivers and 10.3.0 open io plugin.
