[Avid-L2] OT- kindof - Kickstarter using MC 8.2

Hey Y'all! wanted to post a plug for a Kickstarter i have coming up that was put together with MC 8.2/BCC/BaselightAVX.  It's not too fancy but cut to a great piece of music-

Check out my upcoming kickstarter and share the heck out of it if you like it!  The Thirst Mate is an Eco-Responsible drink holder made from recycled material that UP-CYCLES used plastic bottles to float.  It floats drinks and more while also keeping those empty plastic bottles out of landfills. See the KICKSTARTER preview at drinkertoys.com and a fun video with a great track from Scott & Brendo

Subject: Re: [Avid-L2] Mixed footage in project

Set the 23.98 stuff up in a 23.98 project, then open that bin in your 59.94 project and cut away. Media Composer will automatically (in most cases) apply the correct 3:2 pulldown to make the 23.98 stuff look just right.

Do not import the 23.98 source directly into 5994.

Hi All,
I know we've discussed this before but...
I have a project coming up on MAC Symphony 6.5

2 episodes will have lots of mixed media from files.

23.98 & 59..94. Offline will be cutting 59.94. I'm delivering 59.94 files.

Producer is worried about the look of the 23.98 material mixed in a

59.94 sequence. He does not want to pay for a hardware conversion of material

or final outputs. So the question remains....Is it better to transcode each of the

23.98 files in the sequences or to convert and then import to the final sequence?

Everybody's insight is appreciated...or point to the LAST discussion of this.

Thanks

JC
